About Dr Kate Newbold
Consultant Clinical Oncologist MBChB MRCP FRCPE FRCR MD
Dr Newbold has an active research programme. Building on the successful work from her M.D., she continues to research and develop the role of advanced imaging techniques in characterising the biology of head and neck cancer. With an improved understanding of the behaviour of an individual tumour, treatments can be more targeted with an aim to achieve better outcomes and reduce toxicity for patients.
She runs a portfolio of clinical trials investigating new drugs for the treatment of advanced thyroid cancer collaborating with international colleagues. In addition she actively supports studies for novel drug treatments in head & neck cancer.
